Naked, by The Loopen Experiment

This piece was inspired by the Japanese dance-theatre form, Butoh. Exploring the idea of 'the masks that people wear', the company created Naked.

The show was performed in Christchurch, NZ, up at the World War II gun emplacements at Godley Head. The audience moved through the environments and followed the actors as they changed from naive, innocent, unaffected humans to people wearing identity masks as created by experience.

This was an abstract piece made all the more experiential by the chill air and the stunning location.
