Out of the Ordinary, by Lisa Norriss |

This play was created at Dan and Lisa's home in Cass Bay, Christchurch. Invitations were sent out that the audience members had to fill in, draw a portrait of themselves and then send back. A programme for each show was made including each audience member's picture. The audience arrived and were instructed via note to sit in a circle (on cushions on the grass outside), to play the tape recorder and to solve a jigsaw before figuring out where they needed to move to to find the first scene.
The audience navigated their way around the house, the large back yard, shed, to the cliff over-looking the ocean and more. At each station the audience watched a scene and then had to figure out where to go next.
The play itself was a story of disconnection from oneself, from others and from nature. It was a journey back to these things.
